Kathleen Cullen Fine Arts is pleased to announce the exhibition of recent works by Jim Napierala.
In these recent paintings Napierala furthers the language of non-objective painting with subtle overlapping forms and incandescent paint glazes Napierala invokes the emotional power of abstraction through the language of gesture and the mechanics of structure. Intuitive line, idiosyncratic color, and quirky forms establish a singular, personal iconography which is constantly evolving. The work is neither premeditated nor didactic; it is immediate and open to interpretation. It is ostensibly abstract, yet all abstraction contains a germ of reality.
